Month of May focuses on player development at Troon-managed courses
May is Troon Player Development Month, which means there are a host of great opportunities available to improve your game at courses in Southern California.
Classic Club in Palm Desert, for instance, is hosting short-game and full-swing clinics as well as the Troon Putting Challenge, a complimentary event where participants can test their skills on the green.
The short-game clinics include instruction on putting, chipping, pitching and bunker shots, while the full-swing clinics cover the fundamentals, working through your bag of clubs, starting with irons and finishing with driver.
Short-game clinics are slated for May 19 and 26, from 1-2 p.m. and the full-swing clinics will be held May 20 and 27, from 1-2 p.m. Each clinic is $25 per person.
Participants in the Troon Putting Challenge will hit a total of 10 putts from various distances to accumulate a score. Dates are set for May 17 and 24, from 1-2:30 p.m.
