     Greetings, fellow golfers! We’re Rob Lyon and Eric Marson and we’ve been reporting and writing about golf in Southern California for the past 25 years. 
     SoCal Golf Insider is for golfers of all stripes, whether you’re a casual, recreational or avid player. We’ll be providing you with news, features, reviews, instruction, equipment, human interest and more on all things golf in Southern California. We’ll also have some fun with contests and giveaways.
     For us, it all began with the launch of Orange County Golf magazine in the spring of 1995 that featured the inaugural PGA Tour Champions Toshiba Classic (now the Hoag Classic played at Newport Beach Country Club) on the cover. Orange County Golf was followed five years later with the debut of two more regional magazines: L.A. County Golf and San Diego County Golf. 
     Soon after, the three titles merged to become Southland Golf, which we helmed through 2011 before leaving the world of print magazines and heading into the digital realm producing publications for a variety of courses and country clubs throughout the region. (You can check those out here.)
     And while we’ll be doing our best with SoCal Golf Insider to keep you informed and up to date, we’d also like to ask the same of you.
